VELOSTATS

Telemetry for ambitious road cyclists

Form is measurable.

VeloStats turns your Strava and Apple Health rides into precise telemetry — FTP, form, power curve, records and your bike garage.

CH 03 · Features

Everything that counts.

Five instruments · no gimmicks

F01

FTP & form

FTP history and form (CTL · ATL · TSB) from every ride — computed automatically, no more spreadsheet.

F02Internal

Power curve & zones

Best power over every duration plus time in zones per ride and range — laid over your all-time best.

F03

Records

Best efforts from 5 seconds to 60 minutes — medals you’ll want to break.

F04Internal testing — coming to TestFlight

Bike garage with photo scan

Photograph your bike, done: the AI recognises frame and components and sets up your garage — with kilometre counts, a tyre-pressure calculator and torque values.

F05

Strava connection

Rides land in VeloStats automatically — about two minutes after upload. Apple Health included. No upkeep, no exporting.

v1.39.6
·More accurate under the hood: a ride’s power histogram now survives the merge of Strava and Apple Health — time-in-zones and the carbohydrate share depend on it. The explorer counts a tile even when a route only clips its corner. And restoring a backup on a new device now brings the bike task settings and the bike photo along — they used to fall away silently whenever Strava had been connected before the restore. FIX
·The bike photo scan now says how long the components lookup takes (up to a minute — it reads real manufacturer sources for that), and the “read from photo” marker only sits on values that actually came from the image. In English the end of a route reads “Finish” again instead of “Goal”, and with VoiceOver the result after “Add to calendar” is announced. FIX
v1.39.2
·Clearer sealant wording: “refilled” is now “fully replaced” everywhere — before, it was barely distinguishable from “topped up”. Topped up = fresh sealant on top; fully replaced = old sealant out, refilled fresh (also resets the yearly clock). Both apply without a tire change too. FIX
v1.39.0
+New bike tasks: if a tubeless bike stands for 14 days, Velo reminds you to move it (standing sealant settles), and every 90 days it suggests a sealant check — thresholds per bike, both rules can be switched off. A ride counts as moved automatically, there is never more than one open task per bike and rule, and a mistap can be undone for six seconds. Visible as a “Due now” card on the overview, in the bike list and as a quiet timer in the bike detail; optionally an honestly “best effort” notification. NEW
v1.38.0
+"Describe" now really estimates: type what you ate on the road ("2 pretzels from the bakery") and Velo has the nutrition values estimated in the background — you get a finished product with portion, calories, carbs and sodium in the same confirmation card as the photo route. A stated quantity is carried over; without a label the values are marked as estimated and can be adjusted before saving. NEW
v1.37.0
Velo now speaks English: the entire app is translated — with proper cycling vocabulary. The language follows your system (German stays German, everything else starts in English) and can be switched manually in the settings at any time, instantly and without a restart. Missing your language? "Request a language" sends your wish straight to the developers. MILESTONE
v1.36.0
+Log your ride fueling three ways: photo, barcode (Open Food Facts, opt-in) or describing it — all ending in one confirmation card with the choice "to this ride and/or into the inventory". One-off items (the bakery cake on the pass) stay with the ride only. Plus inventory management with usage stats — and the key guarantee: deleting or editing products never touches past rides again. NEW
·Explorer fix: when a route crossed exactly over a tile corner, the tile you actually rode through was missed and the cluster appeared torn — corner crossings are now rasterised correctly, and your existing tiles recompute themselves on next launch. FIX
