VELOSTATS

Terms of use

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Scope

These terms apply to your use of the VeloStats app (called “Velo” on your iPhone, plus the Android app) and of this website. For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) applies as well, for the Android app the Google Play terms. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.

What VeloStats is

VeloStats is an independent project by David Gertis, free of charge and without advertising. The app analyses your training data and shows metrics (such as FTP, form, power curve and records), estimates (such as energy) and suggestions (such as workouts, components and torque values). This information is for your information and training. It is not medical advice and may be inaccurate or wrong, for example if a sensor delivers wrong values. Train at your own risk and have health questions clarified by a doctor. Before you work on your bike, check torque values and component details against the manufacturer’s specification on the part or in its manual.

Third-party services

VeloStats integrates services of other providers: Strava (your activities and your profile), Apple (Apple Health, iCloud Drive, Maps, App Store and TestFlight), Garmin and other device makers (their recordings reach VeloStats via Strava or Apple Health), intervals.icu (workout export), Anthropic (online AI) and Open Food Facts (barcode lookup). Each of these services is subject to its provider’s terms. VeloStats is an independent project and is not affiliated with these providers; they are not parties to these terms.

Disclaimer of warranties and liability on behalf of third parties: On behalf of these third-party service providers, in particular Strava, Apple and Garmin, all warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. These third-party service providers are excluded from all liability for consequential, special, punitive and indirect damages arising from your use of VeloStats.

Our warranty

We provide VeloStats as is and do not promise that the app will always work without errors or that a third-party service will remain available. Features may change or be discontinued. We are liable only to the extent that mandatory law requires, in particular for intent and gross negligence.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page shows which version applies.
